Polk Woman Accused of Firing Gun at Victim During Incident in Clinton Township

CLINTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Charges have been filed against a Polk woman who is accused of firing a gun at a victim during an incident in Clinton Township in early December.

Court documents indicate the Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 27-year-old Rachel Ranae Huff.

According to a criminal complaint, around 6:16 a.m. on December 9, 2021, Franklin-based State Police were dispatched to a residence on State Route 308 in Clinton Township for a report of shots fired.

At the scene, police spoke with a known victim who reported the incident took place on DeWoody School Road at its intersection with State Route 308, in Clinton Township, Venango County.

According to the complaint, the victim told police she heard Rachel Huff yelling from her disabled vehicle. The victim said she made contact with Huff, and Huff began yelling at her, then obtained a firearm from the driver’s side of the vehicle, and charged at her. The victim told police Huff then pointed the firearm in her direction and fired a shot.

The following charges were filed against Huff through Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office on January 25:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2
– Disorderly Conduct Hazardous/Physical Offense, Misdemeanor 3
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on March 2 in Venango County Court with Judge Lowrey presiding.
