VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Beginning Wednesday, Child Development Centers, Inc. will close all of its sites until at least March 30 due to the continued threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Head Start classes will remain closed at all facilities in Venango, Crawford, and Erie Counties.

The agency plans to re-open its centers on Monday, March 30, but the return date is subject to change based on potential new developments with COVID-19 during the temporary closure.

“Closing our doors, even for a short period of time, is always our last resort,” Child Development Centers Executive Director Rina Irwin said. “We felt this was necessary during such an unprecedented time in our country to help keep our children, staff, and the community safe.”

Updates will be provided on the organization’s official social media accounts and website as additional information becomes available.
