Police say a local woman reportedly retrieved a knife and stated “everyone’s going to die.”

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City woman was arrested for reportedly threatening a man with a knife during a domestic incident.
Court records show the Oil City Police Department filed criminal charges against 39-year-old Jessica Elaine Bisbee, of Oil City, in District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on April 9.
According to a criminal complaint released on Wednesday, April 17, Oil City Police received a phone call from a known male victim around 9:00 p.m. on April 9, stating that Jessica Bisbee was refusing to leave his residence on Sycamore Street, in Oil City, Venango County.
While a dispatcher was on the phone with the victim, he stated that Bisbee had retrieved a knife and stated “everyone’s going to die,” the complaint states.
The victim then said Bisbee was walking toward him with the knife before he ran out of the apartment. At this point, the call was disconnected, the complaint indicates.
The dispatcher was able to reconnect the call with the victim who stated Bisbee had left the residence wearing a red jacket, the complaint notes.
Officers then responded to the area and were able to locate Bisbee nearby the residence. She was detained while officers went to speak with the victim who was located outside the apartment. He told police that Bisbee got upset with him when he told her to pack her stuff and leave, according to the complaint.
The victim explained that an argument transpired between the two, and Bisbee went toward one of his kitchen knifes, and that is when he ran out of the apartment due to fear of bodily harm, the complaint says.
Bisbee was arraigned on the following charges in front of Judge Fish at 12:15 a.m. on April 9:
– Terroristic Threats W/ Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
The above charges were held for court during a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, April 17, in Venango County Central Court.
Bisbee, who was lodged in the Venango County Prison on April 9, was released on $50,000.00 unsecured bail on April 17.
This case has been transferred to Venango County Court of Common Pleas.
