Police: Two Oil City Men Busted in String of Church Burglaries

MINERAL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police have apprehended two suspects in a recent string burglaries at several churches in Venango County.

Around 4:30 a.m. this morning, police responded to an alarm at a North Sandy Presbyterian Church on Raymilton Rd. in Mineral Twp.

Due to a high number of burglaries in the area in recent days police canvassed the area.

According to police, they observed John T. Biddle, 31, of Oil City, and Steven G. Kostenbauder, 31, of Oil City, in the parking lot of the church.

The accused were taken into custody on suspicion of felony burglary.

According to police, later, the accused admitted to committing numerous burglaries at area churches.
