Driver of Stolen Truck Flown to Erie Hospital After Crashing into Building in Franklin

COOPERSTOWN, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say around 2:00 a.m. on January 13, a pickup was stolen on Mill Street in Cooperstown, Venango County.

According to police, a known white male stole a Ford F-250 pickup belonging to a 57-year-old Cooperstown man.

Police say the known perpetrator was observed operating this truck along Patchel Run Road, and a traffic stop was attempted.

According to police, the perpetrator fled, resulting in a pursuit.

The pursuit continued into the city of Franklin where the perpetrator struck the Vantage Health Care Building located at 13th and Liberty Streets, police say.

The perpetrator was flown to Hamot Medical Center in Erie; the extent of his injuries are unknown.

Charges are pending further investigation.
